Acquisition Consists of Three Stallions, Including “Im A Platinum Dream” and His Only Producing Stallion Offspring “Unbridle Your Dreams,” Together with Seven World Champion Producing Brood Mares and Their 2022 Foals
Dale Livingston Joins Corrival Ranch Breeding Team to Leverage the Superior Genetics Developed Over Decades with a Mission of Producing the Ultimate All Around Quarter Horse
BOERNE, TX — April 18, 2022 — Corrival Ranch LLC (“Corrival”) today announced that in one of the more significant quarter horse acquisition transactions in recent years, it has acquired a complete breeding program consisting of a total of twenty-nine horses. The breeding program, which has been developed over three decades by Mr. Dale Livingston, includes three stallions: AQHA champion 2010 stallion “Im A Platinum Dream” (“Dreamer”); his only standing stallion offspring “Unbridle Your Dreams” (“Special”); and “Dreaming Bout You,” a 2021 stallion by “Mr Sherlock Holmes” and out of “Ima Bodacious Dream,” dam of “Im A Platinum Dream” and world champion “Huntin Big Dreams.” Dreamer was sired by World Champion “Huntin for Chocolate.” He was top ten in the nation in performance halter, has won numerous championships and has sired many congress and world champions. Special is a 2018 grey stud with his first foals on the ground now. Dreamer will remain closed to the public but Special will be standing for the public beginning in 2023.
The acquisition includes seven world champion producing brood mares and their 2022 foals, including “Aviva for Certain,” who is a full sister to “A Certain Vino,” “Zippos Petite Lady,” dam of multiple world champions, “Huntin on Holiday” and several others. Corrival expects to sell many of the 2022 foals as yearlings. Additionally, each of these mares is with foal for 2023.
Dale Livingston joins Corrival, as part of the acquisition transaction, to expand Corrival’s breeding program. Mr. Livingston, who was the 2007 American Quarter Horse Association Professional Horseman of the Year, has been training horses for more than fifty years and has judged many of the most prestigious equine events in the world, including the AQHA World Show, the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, AQHYA World Show, the Northwest Congress, the European Championships and the Brazilian Festival of Champions. He has made extensive contributions to the quarter horse industry, including serving as a member of the AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Committee, the Professional Horsemen’s Council, the NSBA Judges Committee, the NSBA Executive Board, the AQHA Show and Contest Committee and the AQHA Show Council Committee. Mr. Livingston has personally trained thirteen AQHA world champions, five of which he showed himself, and he has also trained and shown numerous futurity and Congress champions. He is on the top 50 riders list for lifetime money earnings and his is the first ever to win the Junior and Senior Western Pleasure AQHA World Championship the same year, and the only person to win the Senior Western Riding World Championship the same year.
